Parish Team Fr. Seamus Ryan, a native of Co Limerick, spent many of his priestly years teaching in St. Patrick's College, Thurles and in September 1990 he took up the office of Parish priest in St. Matthew's Parish in Ballyfermot. Along with his many tasks as parish priest, he is chairperson of Mary Queen of Angels Primary School and Chaplain to Caritas College. Since September, 2002 he has been appointed as Administrator to Cherry Orchard Parish.
Fr Roy Donovan, Also comes from Co Limerick. Roy came to the parish in 1999 and has made his own contribution to the parish. He is chaplain to St John's College.
Fr. Joseph Ryan, who hails from Co. Tipperary, was ordained in 1990 after studying for six years in St. Patrick's College, Thurles. That same year he was been appointed to St. Matthew's Parish and has been an important part of the parish team over the years. One of his duties is chaplain to St. Louise's Primary School and he shares chaplain duties with Fr Seamus in Caritas College.
Sr. Margaret Walsh, a Daughter of Charity based in St. Louise's convent, a native of Co. Mayo, since joining the parish team in 1992, she has taken an active role in all aspects of parish work. Prayer is very important to Sr. Margaret and she has been very committed to house visitation resulting in St. Matthew's having many prayer groups based in the parishioners' homes.
