Ann Darcy and Nora Butler will speak at some of the main Sunday
Masses this weekend sharing her experience of the 2-year course
which she has recently completed and a similar one will be beginning
in Maynooth soon. (16th). A chance to listen and perhaps ask
a few questions after Mass. (Saturday 6.30/ Sunday 10.30 &
11.30).
The future of our church will need lay people having a much
greater role in leadership positions in parishes.
If you are interested or could suggest someone who might be
suitable let any of the priests know before the weekend is over
I.E. TODAY!

son of a carpenter. Ciaran was Abbot of Clonmacnois and died

Crosscare
Special Collection
The annual collection for Crosscare (Catholic Social
Service Conference) will be made at all Masses next
weekend Sat/Sun 20/21st Sept '03
It will replace the SHARE Collection
CROSSCARE is involved in a wide variety of social projects
in Archdiocese of Dublin. It continues to develop new
and innovative programmes and to sponsor new research
to help inform policy on combating poverty and exclusion.
(The amount collected in St Matthew's in 2001 - €3,670;
and in 2002 - €2,500).
