Questions
People Ask
Q. Why should we read the Old Testament? Isn't
it full of wars and violence?
A. There's far more there than accounts of wars. Yes
indeed, it reflects the violence of history but the overall
story is about God's covenant with people. The Bible is a
library of books reflecting the growth of people in doctrine
and morality in a time span of a thousand years. Without the
Old Testament it would not be possible to understand the New
Testament, which grows out of it as a plant from its roots.

Adult
Courses
When the summer ends we get information regarding different
night classes. How to fix a car, how to dance the tango, to
learn French etc.
Have you ever thought about "Exploring your Faith as an
Adult"? Our local deanery has been developing with All
Hallows College (home of the 'Ember Team' who led the Novena
of Grace last March) and from this September, on Tuesday nights
in Maynooth a 2-year course covering different topics that should
be of interest to all. The course includes "The Word of
God & praying the Scriptures", "The Sacraments",
"Family, Bereavement & Marriage", "Liturgy
and Seasons of the Church".
